LIMITATIONS: Poetry only.

WAITING PERIOD: You will receive a reply when your submission heads to the front of the queue. Until then, it has not been listened to and is awaiting its turn.

HOW: Record yourself reading in .mp3 format, with no additional commentary. Limit: Fifteen minutes and as many poems as you wish to fit into that time period. Send your .mp3 as an attachment after abiding by the following:

SUBJECT LINE: "Planet Submission"

BODY OF EMAIL: A brief bio with two links maximum.

EMAIL ADDRESS: Click here to email submissions.

ALTERNATIVE SUBMISSION METHOD: If necessary, you may also send files using YouSendIt. I will still need a bio sent to the address above. Please do NOT send online links to your work. I have limited time and want to use it to better this project.

RECORDING TIPS: It's easy to record yourself, but I cannot provide individual recording advice. If you need recording software, I suggest the free Audacity, available for Windows, Vista, Mac, and just about everything else. The only other thing you need is a mic plugged into your computer. Here are some tips regarding using Audacity.

LISTENING TO THE SHOW: Left-click the "direct download" link and the audio will open in your default player, or right-click the "direct download" link and "save link as" to your desktop. You should then be able to double click on the file, like any .mp3.

PRODUCER: Paul A. Toth, editor of Hit and Run Magazine and Sitting Pretty Magazine, novelist, poet, and short story writer. Previously served as assistant fiction editor for Small Spiral Notebook, storySouth and Mad Hatters' Review. Toth also works in multimedia.
